Lemongrass Baked Prawns 香茅焗虾【免烤箱】

Easy Lemongrass Baked Prawns only takes 15 minutes to make using simple ingredients with bursting flavors! Saute ingredients and bake, all done in one pot using Ninja Foodi multi-cooker SAUTE/SEAR mode and BAKE/ROAST mode. 

The Ninja Foodi multi-cooker that I’m using is a combination of a pressure cooker and air fryer in one pot, it’s super-efficient and time-saving. Besides pressure cook and air frying, there are other functions such as steam, slow cook, sear/ saute, bake/ roast, grill, and keep warm, just like a portable kitchen with a rice cooker, pressure cooker, air fryer, oven and stovetop functions, reasonable price, and highly versatile.
The deep pot could prevent oil/ residues splatter all over the crisping lid making it easy to maintain and clean.

12 Large Prawns
1 thumb size Ginger, sliced
1 Red Chili, sliced
3 Lemongrass (white part – chopped, green part-pounded)
3 cloves Garlic, chopped
Garnish: Crispy Fried Shallots
2 tbsp Cooking Oil
1/8 tsp White Pepper
1 tsp Dark Soy Sauce
2 tsp Fish Sauce
2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
2 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1 tbsp Shao Xing Hua Tiao Cooking Wine

1. Add sauce ingredients to the prawns, set them aside. Turn on Ninja Foodi, add the oil into the inner pot, set SAUTE/SEAR (HI) mode.

2. Add in ginger, chili, lemongrass, and garlic, stir fry until fragrant. 

3. Add in prawns and the sauce. 


4. Close the crispier lid. Reset BAKE/ROAST mode, bake 210’C 5mins. Flip the prawns, continue to bake for 2 minutes. Garnish with fried shallots, serve right away.
