Copycat Cheesy Gordita Crunch Tacos Are Even Better than Taco Bell

Add 2 teaspoons ground cumin, 2 teaspoons smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon chili powder, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, and 1/4 teaspoon cayenne (if using) and stir to combine. Add 1 cup water and reduce the heat to medium. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is slightly thickened, about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, assemble the gordita shells.
